Al-Dai al-Fatemi Syedna Taher Fakhruddin TUS addressed Mumineen after the judgement was delivered by the High Court in Bombay on 23rd April 2024. Lifting Syedna Khuzaima Qutbuddin's RA Qur’an in his hand, Syedna TUS declared: “I say to you today, holding the Qur'an, I am the successor to all Duat Mutlaqeen, I am the true Dai.”
Statement to Press following Bombay High Court Single-Bench Judgement
In light of the unfavourable judgement of single-judge of the High Court of Bombay in the Dawoodi Bohra leadership succession suit, Syedna Fakhruddin Saheb vows to continue the fight and appeal this judgement, to the full extent of the legal process. Syedna Fakhruddin Saheb said, “for truth, for justice, and for the future of the Dawoodi Bohra community, I am duty bound to continue this fight.”
Q&A Session on the High Court Judgement - Sunday 28 April
After Maghrib Isha Namaaz, Syedi Mazoon Saheb AAB, Syedi Mukasir Saheb AAB, and Syedi Aziz Bhaisaheb will address Mumineen’s questions about the recent Bombay High Court judgement, insha’Allah. Thereafter Mumineen are invited for Salawat Jaman.
A Zoom broadcast will begin at 7:00pm India time, insha’Allah. Mumineen who are not present in Mumbai may register to request raza to attend via Zoom.

54th Dai al-Mutlaq Syedna Taher Fakhruddin
His Holiness Syedna Taher Fakhruddin Saheb TUS is the successor to the 53rd Dai al-Mutlaq Syedna Khuzaima Qutbuddin RA and the 52nd Dai al-Mutlaq Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin RA; he is the 54th Dai al-Mutlaq. According to Dawoodi Bohra faith he is vested with the absolute authority of the Imam who is in seclusion.
